NTSC

In computing, the US television standard signal format. Sometimes believed to stand for ‘Never Twice the Same Colour’.

S-video, NTSC, Pal, RS170, RS232, RGB (SVGA), TV Out, Ethernet and audio I/O connections for video capture and the--MC uses the Mpeg-2 codec.
The decoder converts video streams into composite NTSC video for direct connection to a traditional monitor and can provide increased update rates for dial-in or low-bandwidth users.
Now, all of North America is using the same TV standard as it is with the analog NTSC.
