Na-Dene

One of the largest American Indian language families in the USA and Canada, originating from the northwest region of the North American continent. Its branches include the Tlingit language; the almost extinct dialects of the Haida and Eyak; and the Athabaskan group, which contains languages spoken from Alaska and Canada, through the northwest, west, and southwest USA to Mexico. Athabaskan speakers include the Apache, Navajo, Chippewa, Hupa, and Jicarilla.
