Nagy, Ferenc (born 1903)

Hungarian prime minister 1946–47. He was a founding member of the Smallholders' Party and became its general secretary in 1930. At the general elections in November 1945 the Smallholders received 57% of the vote and Nagy became premier in February 1946. An anticommunist, he fled to the West and resigned his post in May 1947.
