Nairne, Caroline Oliphant (1766–1845)
| Scottish songwriter, called the ‘Flower of Strathearn’. She wrote under the pseudonym of ‘Mrs Bogan of Bogan’ or ‘BB’. Her songs include ‘The Laird o' Cockpen’, ‘Land o' the Leal’, ‘Caller-Herrin’, ‘Charlie is my Darling’, ‘Will ye no come back again’, and numerous other Jacobite songs. |
