Nakhon Sawan

Capital of Nakhon Sawan province, north-central Thailand, situated at the confluence of the two major tributaries of the Chao Phraya River; population (2000) 91,600. Once a logging entrepôt, Nakhon Sawan is now mainly a commercial centre. There is an agro-processing industry here.

One of the three patients is a poultry butcher living in Nakhon Sawan Province and his lung inflammatory condition has improved, according to the minister.
A survey, conducted in Bangkok and Nakhon Sawan by a women's network, found that almost half the respondents had suffered physical and sexual assaults by their husbands or partners.
