Nappanee

City in Kosciusko and Elkhart counties, northern Indiana; population (1990) 5,500. Nappanee is situated 32 km/20 mi southeast of South Bend, in an agricultural region where cereals, onions, and mint are the main crops.

The area around is Nappanee is strongly Amish. Among the city's principal industries are commercial flower growing, sawmilling, and the production of canned goods, furniture, and flour.
