Nash, (Frederic) Ogden (1902-1971)US poet and wit. He published numerous volumes of humorous, quietly satirical light verse, characterized by unorthodox rhymes and puns. They include I'm a Stranger Here Myself (1938), Versus (1949), and Bed Riddance (1970). Most of his poems first appeared in the New Yorker magazine, where he held an editorial post and did much to establish the magazine's tone.
