Naylor, Edward

Naylor, Edward (Woodall) (1867–1934)

English organist, musicologist, and composer. He studied at Cambridge and the Royal College of Music in London, and after two appointments as organist there he returned to Cambridge in 1897 to become organist at Emmanuel College, taking the doctorate in music degree at the university. He lectured and wrote on music, publishing a book on Shakespeare and Music.

cantata Arthur the King (1902); part songs; piano trio in D major.
