Nedbal, Oskar (1874–1930)

Czech conductor, viola player, and composer. He composed light operas and ballets.

He was a pupil of Dvořák, a member of the Bohemian String Quartet, and from 1896 conductor of the Czech Philharmonic Society in Prague. From 1906 he conducted concerts and opera mainly in Vienna.
