Negri, Vittorio (1923– )

Italian conductor. He studied at the Milan Conservatory and was assistant at the Salzburg Mozarteum from 1952. He made appearances at the Salzburg, Montreux and Orange Festivals, and has been guest conductor with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Dresden Staatskapelle and at La Scala, Milan. His recordings include the oratorios Judith Triumphans by Vivaldi and Mozart's Betulia Liberata.
