Neidhart von Reuental (c. 1180–c. 1240)

German Minnesinger (a poet and singer about courtly love in the 12th–14th centuries). A younger contemporary of Walther von der Vogelweide, his music survived in print during the Renaissance. Several of his songs are preserved; many others are attributed to him.

He went on a crusade 1217–19 and settled in Austria on his return.
