Nelson, Judith (1939- )

US soprano. She studied singing in Santa Barbara and made opera debut as Roberto in Alessandro Scarlatti's Griselda at Berkeley, in 1976. Other roles include Drusilla in L'incoronazione di Poppea (Brussels 1979) and Landi's Il Sant' Alessio (Innsbruck 1987). She has given many concerts in the USA. Her recordings include Handel's Alceste and Resurrezione, Serse by Cavalli, and Dido and Aeneas, in which she appears as Belinda.
