New Ash Green

Village in Kent, England, on the North Downs. It was created in the mid-1960s as a self-sufficient town, designed to accommodate 6,000 people. It has a pedestrian shopping centre, and all other facilities are on the principle of a neighbourhood unit. It is built on a site of 174 ha/430 acres, and has a high provision of open space.
