Bunclody

Town in County Wexford, Republic of Ireland; population (2002) 1,360. It is situated on the River Clody (a tributary of the River Slaney), 42 km/26 mi north of Wexford town. It was formerly known as Newtownbarry (from 1577) and was the site of an insurrection in 1798.

The town's name was changed to Newtownbarry after its patron, a sheriff of Dublin.
