Nieuport

French aircraft of World War I. Designed by Gustav Delage and built by Eduoard Nieuport, various models were produced and used by most Allied air forces throughout the war.

The Model 17, a single-seat biplane developed 1916, was one of the best fighting aircraft of the war and effectively countered the German Fokker machines. Widely used by all the Allies, it was the chosen machine of many of the prominent ‘aces’.
