Nintendo

Japanese games console and software manufacturer. In 1996, the company introduced the N64 – the first 64-bit games console – using technology from workstation manufacturer Silicon Graphics Inc. Nintendo's best-known games characters are the ‘Super Mario Brothers’.

Nintendo released the Gamecube, its next-generation console, in 2001 in Japan and followed this with its highly successful Gameboy, DS Lite, and Wii.
