Nixon, Marni (1930– )

US soprano. She studied at University of California at Los Angeles and the Berkshire Music Center. She worked in Hollywood and provided the singing voices for the leads in The King and I, West Side Story and My Fair Lady. She made opera appearances in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle as Blondchen, Constanze, Zerbinetta, and Violetta. Her recordings include the complete vocal works of Webern, conducted by Robert Craft.
