node

In physics, a position in a standing wave pattern at which there is no vibration. Points at which there is maximum vibration are called antinodes. Stretched strings, for example, can show nodes when they vibrate. Guitarists can produce special effects (harmonics) by touching a sounding string lightly to produce a node.

node

Point where routes meet. It may therefore be the same as a route centre. In a topological network, a node may be the start or crossing point of routes, also called a vertex.

node

In oceanography, the point on a stationary wave (an oscillating wave with no progressive motion) at which vertical motion is least and horizontal motion is greatest. In earth science, it is the point on a fault where the apparent motion has changed direction.

node

In computing, any device connected to a network, such as a router, a bridge, a hub, and a server.

node

In music, the point in a vibrating string at which the vibration becomes cut into segments.

The initial node which receives STEM will set its own node type as "tree node"; set father node as the node ID included in the STEM; set own depth as the depth included in the STEM plus one.
[FIGURE 2 OMITTED] In order to provide a general solution by using middleware, the sensor node designer should adopt one of the middleware techniques, so that these particular sensor node types support the generality of all nodes using the same middleware.
A node specification is composed of a node type (concept or fragment), a category name (for fragments), or a term (for concepts).
