Noel-Baker, Philip John, Baron Noel-Baker (1889-1982)

British Labour politician. He was involved in drafting the charters of both the League of Nations and the United Nations. He published The Arms Race (1958), and he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1959 for his advocacy of world disarmament. He was made Baron in 1977.
