North Bergen

Township in Hudson County, northeastern New Jersey; population (1990) 48,400. Some 8 km/5 mi northeast of Jersey City, this residential suburb of New York City lies on the western side of the Palisades of the Hudson River.

North Bergen's industries manufacture such diverse goods as textiles, clothing, machinery, watches and other jewellery, electrical equipment, batteries, light bulbs, cardboard boxes, and metal products.
