North Conway

Village in Conway township, Carroll County, east-central New Hampshire; population (1990) 2,000. North Conway is situated in the White Mountains, on the Saco River near the Maine border.

North Conway is an outfitting centre for hikers and skiers in the White Mountains. The Conway Scenic Railroad, Eastern Slope Inn, Mount Cranmore, Cathedral Ledge lookout, and nearby Attitash, Tyrol, and Black Mountain ski areas attract many visitors to the area. Some cereals and hay are also grown in the vicinity.
