North Manchester

Town in Wabash County, northeastern Indiana, on the Eel River, 56 km/35 mi west-southwest of Fort Wayne; population (1990) 6,400.

North Manchester is a market centre serving a region that cultivates cereals and raises livestock. The town also manufactures such products as furniture, car parts, domestic appliances, and processed food. Manchester College (founded 1889) is sited here.
