Northbrook

Village in Cook County, northeastern Illinois; population (1990) 32,300. A residential suburb of Chicago, it stands on the West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago River, 35 km/22 mi north of the city centre. Glenview Naval Air Station is just to the south.
