Nowak, Grzegorz (1951– )

Polish conductor. He studied in Poznań, and in the USA at the Eastman School and Tanglewood. He was music director of the Slupsk Symphony Orchestra (1976–80), and the Biel Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland. He has appeared as guest conductor with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, and orchestras of Rome, Stockholm, Tokyo, Baltimore, and Cincinnati. His recordings include Ravel's Daphnis et Chloë, with the London Symphony Orchestra.
