O'Brien, Margaret Angela Maxine (1937– )

US child actor. She received a special Academy Award in 1944, but her career, which included leading parts in Lost Angel (1943), Meet Me in St Louis (1944), and The Secret Garden (1949), did not survive beyond adolescence, apart from a few supporting adult roles in film and television.
