    0.06 sec.

O'Donnell, Rosie (1962– )

US actor, comedian, and chat-show host. She is best known for her unpretentious Rosie O'Donnell Show (1996–2002), which was more topical and less salacious than many rival daytime chat shows. She also appeared in the films A League of Their Own (1992), Sleepless in Seattle (1993), The Flintstones (1994), and Beautiful Girls (1996).

She started her career as a stand-up comedian, performing at comedy clubs while still in high school. She made her television debut in 1984 on the talent series Star Search, where she won the comedy competition five times. She appeared in the sitcom Gimme a Break (1986).

She was managing editor of Rosie magazine 2001–03. She publically came out as a lesbian in 2002 and has advocated for homosexual rights.
