Town in St Clair County, southwestern Illinois, USA, 24 km/15 mi east of East St Louis; population (1990) 16,100. O'Fallon developed around nearby coal mines, and is a residential suburb of St Louis, Missouri. Scott Air Force Base lies 6 km/4 mi to the southeast.

Town in St Charles County, eastern-central Missouri, USA, 48 km/30 mi northwest of downtown St Louis; population (1990) 18,700. Situated on an interstate highway, it is a market and distribution centre for a mixed agricultural region.
