O'Neill, Owen Roe (c. 1590–1649)
| Irish soldier, the nephew of Hugh O'Neill, 2nd Earl of Tyrone. He fought in the Spanish army, and in Ireland after the outbreak of the great rebellion of 1641–49. He was given command of the Ulster forces on the side of the Confederates, and fought with great success until his death. |
