Oakmont

Borough of Allegheny County, southwestern Pennsylvania, USA, on the Allegheny River, 13 km/8 mi northeast of downtown Pittsburgh; population (1990) 7,000. It is a residential and industrial suburb, manufacturing pharmaceuticals, and metal and food products. Oakmont is a favoured venue for numerous golf tournaments.
