The tumor extended laterally to the left and involved the occipital condyle and the hypoglossal canal on that side.
This case highlights an uncommon manifestation of prostate adenocarcinoma causing symptoms referable to the occipital condyle of the temporal bone.
Magnetic resonance imaging revealed a well-defined, abnormal, contrast-enhancing mass lesion involving the left lateral mass of the first cervical vertebra and the left occipital condyle up to the level of the left hypoglossal canal (Figure, A).
