Ochil Hills

Mountain range in Scotland, extending from the Firth of Tay, in Fife unitary authority, about 40 km/25 mi southwest to Bridge of Allan, in Stirling unitary authority. The highest summit is Ben Cleuch, rising to 721 m/2,365 ft. Coal, iron, copper, and lead were extensively mined in the past, but most of the land has now been turned over to rich sheep and cattle pasture.
