Oconomowoc

Town in Waukesha County, southeastern Wisconsin, USA, on the Oconomowoc River and Lac La Belle, 48 km/30 mi west of Milwaukee; population (1990) 11,000. Situated in an area of many lakes and mineral springs, it is a long-established and popular resort. Industries include the processing of honey, vegetables, cheese, and other dairy products, brewing, and the manufacture of boats and machine tools.
