Oelze, Christiane (1965- )

German soprano. She studied in Cologne from 1984 until 1989 and has sung widely in concert. She performed recitals at Salzburg (1993) and made her US debut in 1994, with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Her opera debut was made as Despina in Ottawa, in 1990. She sang Mozart's Constanze at Salzburg (1991) and Anne Trulove at Glyndebourne in 1991. She has sung in London from 1993, in Haydn's Jahreszeiten. Recordings include Mozart's Pamina, under Gardiner.
