Ofgas

Acronym for Office of Gas Supply, former regulatory body established under the Gas Act 1986 to supervise the privatized UK gas industry. In 1999 it merged with the Office of Electricity Regulation to form the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem).
