Okavango Delta
Marshy area in northwest Botswana covering about 20,000 km/7,722 sq mi, fed by the Okavango River, which rises in Angola and flows southeast about 1,600 km/1,000 mi. It is an important area for wildlife as it provides the main area of permanently available water in the Kalahari Desert.
