Olazabal, Jose Maria (1966– )

Spanish golfer. After a distinguished amateur career he turned professional in 1986. He won the Masters title in 1994 and 1999, and played in seven Ryder Cups, helping Europe to victory in 1987, 1997, and 2006. In August 2000 he equalled the best score ever achieved in a major championship, with a third round of 63 in the PGA Championship.
