Old Saybrook

Resort town in Middlesex County, southeastern Connecticut, USA, on Long Island Sound and the west bank of the Connecticut River, opposite Old Lyme and 45 km/28 mi east of New Haven; population (1990) 9,600. It includes Fenwick and other coastal villages. With interstate highway and rail connections, the town is a dormitory settlement with some manufacturing and a fishing industry.

Neighbouring Essex and Deep River were formerly parts of Old Saybrook.
