Oller, Francisco (1833–1917)| Puerto Rican painter. He painted landscapes and scenes of Puerto Rican life, his best-known work being El Velorio/The Wake (1893), which was shown at the Paris Salon in 1895. |
| He was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He studied in Spain and France in the 1850s and 1860s, where he was a friend of Courbet, Cézanne, and Pissarro and had paintings exhibited at the Paris salon in 1864–65, before returning to Puerto Rico. |
