Olsen, John Charles

Olsen, John Charles (1869–1948)

US chemical engineer and educator. He was on the faculty of the Polytechnic Institute, Brooklyn (1900–14), professor of chemistry at Cooper Union (1914–18), and professor of chemical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute (1918–44). He was a founder of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Olsen was born in Galesburg, Illinois.
