Olsen, John Charles

Olsen, John Charles (1869-1948)

US chemical engineer and educator. He was on the faculty of the Polytechnic Institute, Brooklyn (1900-14), professor of chemistry at Cooper Union (1914-18), and professor of chemical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute (1918-44). He was a founder of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Olsen was born in Galesburg, Illinois.
