Olsen, Ole (1850-1927)

Norwegian organist, conductor, and composer. He studied engineering at Trondhjem but took to music, taking any appointment as organist and travelling theatre conductor he could secure. Between 1870 and 1874 he consolidated his studies at the Leipzig Conservatory; he then settled at Christiania where he taught conducting and wrote criticism.
