Ornithoparcus, Andreas (born c. 1490)

German music scholar. He was the author of the Latin treatise Musicae activae micrologus in 1517, which was translated into English by John Dowland in 1609.

He studied at Tübingen University, travelled in many countries, and taught at Wittenberg University.
