Osbourne, Lloyd

Osbourne, Lloyd (1868–1947)

US novelist. He was the stepson of the Scottish novelist Robert Louis Stevenson, with whom he collaborated in writing The Wrong Box 1889, The Wrecker 1892, and The Ebb-tide 1894. He published An Intimate Portrait of R L S 1924, and wrote many novels.

He lived intermittently in Samoa with his mother and Stevenson until the latter's death in 1894. He left Samoa in 1897, with his mother, and eventually made his home in the USA.
