Raasay

Island of the Inner Hebrides group, in west Highland unitary authority, Scotland, about 2 km/1 mi east of Skye; population (2001) 192. It extends over an area 20 km/12 mi long and 3 km/2 mi wide. Agricultural activities such as farming, crofting (a form of subsistence farming), and forestry are the principal occupations.
