Otto, Lisa (1919– )

German soprano. She studied piano and singing at the Dresden Hochschule für Musik (1938–40), and made her debut as a singer in 1941, as Sophie. From 1945 to 1950 she sang at the Dresden Opera and in 1952 she became a member of the Berlin Staatsoper. She was best known in lighter soubrette roles, for example Blonde, Despina, and Marzelline.
