Overland Park

City in Johnson County, northeastern Kansas, USA, 14 km/9 mi southwest of downtown Kansas City; population (1990) 111,800. Incorporated in 1960, it is a leading business centre and the site of serveral national corporate headquarters. It also serves as a residential suburb. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) headquarters are located in the city, and it is also the seat of Johnson County Community College (1967).
