Ozanam, Antoine Frédéric (1813–1853)| French scholar. While studying law in Paris he joined with Chateaubriand and Montalembert in championing the Catholic revival. From 1840 he was professor of foreign literature at the Sorbonne. His chief writings are Dante et la philosophie catholique au XIIIième siècle 1839 and Etudes germaniques 1847–49. |
