Pax

In Roman mythology, the goddess of peace, equivalent to the Greek Irene. The emporer Vespasian erected a temple in her honour at Rome, where a festival held on 30 April celebrated Pax with Salus, goddess of health; Concordia, goddess of civic harmony; and Janus, patron of good beginnings.
