Paik, Kun-Woo (1946– )

Korean pianist. He made his debut in Seoul in 1966, playing the Grieg concerto. He studied with Lhevinne at the Juilliard School, New York, and with Kempff in Italy. He made his New York debut at the Carnegie Hall (1972), and his London recital debut at the Wigmore Hall (1974). He has given concerts with leading orchestras in Europe and the USA, and made recordings of solo works by Ravel, Mussorgsky, and Schubert.
