Lahore Resolution

Meeting in Lahore in March 1940 at which the Indian politician Muhammad Ali Jinnah led the Muslim League in demanding the eventual partition of India and the creation of a Muslim state of Pakistan.

But, unfortunately, this auspicious day and the Pakistan Resolution is exploited by some of our politicians, intellectuals and scholars to initiate controversial debates on two lines of reasoning: (1) did that resolution support a sovereign state of the Muslims comprising different provinces as its administrative units, or speak for a federation of different sovereign states?
The Speaker said that prior to 1940, when Pakistan resolution was formally passed, Allama Iqbals philosophical and poetic writings were instrumental in formation and moulding of public opinion.
Mir Hasil Bizenjo talking to the TV channel demanded implementation of the Pakistan Resolution that was passed in 1940 in letter and spirit.
