Paliashvili, Zakharia Petrovich (1871–1933)

Georgian composer. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory under Taneiev, later taught at Tiflis, conducted the orchestra there, and made excursions into eastern Georgia to study its folk music, on which his work is based.
